I am trying to gather all the right equipment for my trip. I am making sure most of the clothing I take are made from polyester, as it helps with the humid heat out there. I am also taking various flash lights. Last time I was there while exploring a castle there was a type of cellar or holding cell underneath even though it was day time it was pitch black down there. So I missed out on seeing anything interesting. I wont make the same mistake twice. I am bringing a little mag lite with me along with a head lamp and a solor powered radio/flash light. I am also contemplating on taking a couple of knives in my checked baggage. But I am not to sure how strict or what the laws are out there... If anyone has any Idea I would appreciate the input.

Drainmaker

I am going to Guatemala and will be in various Jungle terrains, might have to cross some creeks and or rivers... so I bought my self these babies. The Columbia Drainmaker. I bought them for 56 dollars online. If you purchase them at your local sports store your looking at 85.00 msrp so I suggest you look online. I will let you know how they hold up in my two and a half week adventure :)
